Amelie Diamante

Amelie D Saba

Full drunken midnight moon cemetery shoot.

Whether a park or a cemetery, night offers seclusion, the ideal circumstance to let yourself go and make some pictures.

Shot sometime around October or November of last year.

Isn't she lovely?  Amelie.. Poor thing fell out of the tree, but like a cat with nine lives or a teflon Donna she dusts herself off (and climbs right back up) like she has with many things.  The tree was a passive participent, just like the stiff albino Jesus to the left of the frame, watching over the event.  It was balmy and in typical spontaneous fashion, but I got a few pics I liked.

Rare Abstract/Art

Vortex (Night Leaves)

So I found my self looking into the seventh level of hell in (Dante's) Inferno so I wanted to snap a picture before the tour ended.

Lisa May

 Classique en Rouge

Having a pink wig and red satin gloves in my arsenal proved beneficial.  There is no story, just a picture here and one there.  Who are you and what have you become? Why are you doing that, or wearing so little? Why do you look this way?  I can't answer these questions, I'd like to leave it to mystery, but I can't lie, either.

As for Lisa it's great working with people who act or at the very least can embody a different persona effectively in a photo shoot.  Props and costumes are useless if it just looks like you're wearing them which is unavoidable especially with most models who aren't professional, which is most of my subjects whom friendship an open mind and a little of that Je ne sais qoi is why I shoot them  Actors are are a treat because they can take direction and get in the emotion and psychology of whatever scenario you present them.  I don't do this enough and sometimes I feel my pictures suffer and become repetitive because I'm too spontaneous and not rooted in a concept, even though my mind spills with symbolism and conceptual ideas usually needing a grander more planned out approach.  Of course it goes both ways you have to be open to be guided by intuition and the challenges presented by working with the constraints of get up let's go! I'm getting better at this though, and hopefully you will see in the future.
